Utopia project update - delivering individual workshops

Creative Utopia workshop with The Barbican Theatre

Creative Utopia workshop with The Barbican Theatre - making Bury the Giant badges.

Art and Energy have been busy continuing our work on the Utopia project in partnership with David Sergeant at the University of Plymouth, this project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Since October 2022, Art and Energy have delivered individual creative workshops for the six organisations signed up to the Utopia project.

Exploring nature & energy at the Utopia workshop for Stiltskin Arts and Theatre.

We are fortunate to have the following local Plymouth based organisations involved with our Utopian journey:

We have really enjoyed delivering workshops to these organisations, we’ve talked moss, moorland, nature and energy and enjoyed fresh air and beautiful surroundings with some of the project participants.

Creativity at our working breakfast meeting - the final Utopia project get together.

We’ve delivered creative sessions making Bury the Giant badges and making mini mossy terrarium worlds for participants to nourish and care for in their workplace or own home.

We’ve also facilitated group discussions with the project participants over a working lunch at Poole Farm and a final get together over breakfast with stunning views of Plymouth Sound.

The Utopia project has been a joy to working on, we have really valued the time spent with the individuals and organisations involved as we took our Utopian journey together.

Our project findings and evaluation will form our last Utopia news article - check back soon for more details.
